Alex Mateos wins Slalomania
Alex Mateos, France’s young paramotor star and his country’s champion in 2010 at the age of 19, has won Slalomania, the paramotor pylon racing event that took place at Aspres-sur-Buech in France’s Rhone Alpes from 15-17 September.
32 competitors representing seven countries flew the six heats, before the culling started. Sixteen pilots went through to the eighth-finals, eight the quarter-finals and four the semis; that left just Alex Mateos and Polish pilot Grzegorz Krzyzanowski to fly against each other in the finals.
