KobraPPG’s tandem Kilo Duo trike with choice of engines
KobraPPG’s tandem KiloDuo trike is now available with a range of different engines, soon to include a KobraPPG-developed four-stroke option.
The Spanish firm have been making the high hangpoint trike for a few months and it can now be bought with the Simonini Mini3 36hp, Victor 1 Super 54hp or Hirth 2703 from 45 to 55hp engines, and a limited number of units are fitted with the Rotax 503.
The Kilo Duo can be flown solo or with a passenger, and dual controls make it an ideal training trike. KobraPPG say it is compact and comfortable, with good protection and in-flight stability.
It is made of TIG-welded stainless steel, and the suspension-endowed landing gear is 7075T6 aviation grade aluminium. It comes with an overhead control panel and takeoff-assist mirror.
The 32-litre fuel tank has a low-fuel warning alarm, and the whole package still comes in under the 120kg mark.
Optional extras include an engine cruise control console and a foot throttle control.
KobraPPG say the Twix tandem paraglider is ideal to fly with the Kilo Duo.
