www.e-sporters.com launches beta site linking active people.

ESPORTERS LTD launches the beta version of its sports community site www.e-sporters.com, which links active people involved in sports.

Pie and Peas coming up

A reminder that the first Pie and Peas fly in of the year is coming up, on 3rd - 5th may. It will be held at Model Ridge (Cleveland, UK).

As always, all are welcome and fun is the order of the day. There is free camping & caravaning and food / beer is available on site.

There is always a very friendly atmosphere at this fly in and PPG DVDs will be shown on the Sat evening in the Cafe.

5th PPG World Show Update

The organisation is hard at work for the 5th World PPG show at Basse Ham on June 27 - 29.

They have now secured use of the CYBERBUS of the « Conseil GĂ©nĂ©ral de la Moselle », so that pilots can read their emails and send news and photos of what’s happening to their loved ones.

There will also be a station at the organisation’s technical booth for recharging batteries, whether it be for your cell phones, electrical starters, cameras, radios, etc.

The pilots’ home base and friends’ section (camping and RV site) is fully equipped with showers, rest rooms and plenty of bins around the site.

There will be transportation to and from the launch throughout the day, with regular stops along the way.

Flying Unlimited have released 3 new items of clothing, each sporting their new logo:

The Men’s shirt is available in sizes M to 2XL at 100 Rands; the women’s shirt in sizes M to 3XL is 110 Rands, and the windbreaker, which has a concealed hood, is available in sizes M to 2XL and priced at 200 Rands. All prices exclude P&P.

BMAA Suspend Training Scheme

Icaro Skyrider helmet

New from Icaro is the Skyrider helmet. Certified to EN 966, it was designed for paramotor and ultralight pilots, and comes in sizes S to XXL, with  interchangeable internal padding to acheive a perfect fit. It’s finished in a choice of red or black leather, and can be supplied with a visor and comms set as an option.

Electric units at Sun ‘n’ Fun

Bob and Jeff Goin will be at the Sun n Fun festival, Lakeland, Florida (April 8 - 13) with Uneec’s electric powered paramotor unit, the E-Pac.

Uneec reported 40 minutes’ electric powered flight back in December and the crowds will be keen to see the machines in action.

Mac Para Velvet

Mac Para’s new paramotor wing, the Velvet, has been certified and rated EN category D.

Available in three sizes, the Velvet was designed for intermediate and advanced paramotor pilots. Its semi-reflex airfoils give good stability and speed. Mac Para say their R&D team paid extra attention to the handling of the glider during take off and to the landing flare.
