The annual Spanish PPG event near Seville last February was not blessed with typical Andalusian weather, but despite the omnipresent rain, there was plenty of flying and lots of news products on display or demonstrated.

SOUTH AFRICAN WILD COAST EXPEDITION

This June, Keith Pickersgill and five other pilots will attempt to fly 900 km along the eastern coastline from Port Elizabeth to Durban. The journey includes the 500 km long ‘Wild Coast’ through the Xhosa tribal lands. The coastline is rugged with sheer cliffs, remote surf beaches and few roads. A special microlight will be employed as a tanker for pit stops on beaches.
