MONACO TO BEIJING 2008

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Two French paramotor pilots, Frédéric Jacques and Gabriel Galtier, are aiming to make a mammoth journey this summer, leaving from Monaco and aiming to arrive in Beijing for the opening of the Olympic Games on August 8th.

The pair will fly with Ozone Viper wings, Backbone motors and Sup’ Air harnesses. Their engines will be running on an ethanol-based bio-fuel instead of petrol, as part of the inspiration for the expedition is to test the reliability of such alternative fuels in the varying conditions that they will be encountering.

They are still looking for more sponsorship for the project, so if you can help please contact them via their website, www.monacopekin.com.

FLY CASTELLUCCIO SNAP 100 AND SMN100

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

Fly Castelluccio’s Flash SNAP 100 motor is easy to assemble, start and fly. It is a very quiet and lightweight motor, appealing to lighter pilots.

Part of their “Energy” range, the SMN100 can be easily disassembled into two parts and is the ideal solution for heavy pilots who want a powerful, small and light paramotor. It has small dimensions and a fully-equipped 28 HP engine with electric starter and in-flight battery charger. It impressed the Flying Unlimited test team in South Africa, who found its small size able to deliver almost instant power.
