Spain kicks off the 2010 festival season with Las Candalas
The 14th Las Candalas paramotor festival took place last weekend – 30-31 Jan – in the beautiful, green, rolling hills of Andalucía in the south of Spain.
If you didn’t go, here’s a roundup of what you missed…
* Polini, the major Italian bike and scooter engine motor, introduced the Thor for paramotoring
* PXP showed off their new, modern swinging arms on all models
* Himalayan heroes Ramon Morillas and Tom De Dorlodot talked about their record-breaking exploits in Pakistan
* Bailey's was still the only paramotor with a 4-stroke engine in production
* Clemente had a new auto stabilizer system for trikes
* KobraPPG had their Tracktor II Pro trike
* Dani Martinez displayed the Fly Products trike that saved his life this summer. Full story in Paramotor Magazine issue 17
* PAP + H&E announced they are working together on new engines and paramotors
* Parabuggy were taking orders for their ‘bombproof’ learner buggy
* Infinity Tumbling, the ultimate PG acro manoeuvre, was showcased by its creator and local hero Raul Rodriguez
* World Champion Michel Carnet regaled tales of his recent adventures paramotoring in the Venezuelan jungle
* The Las Candalas flying fancy dress competition had at least a dinosaur, Super Mario, Captain Kirk and an ostrich!
