British Team Selected for Worlds
The UK PPG comps panel have announced the British team for the forthcoming world championships being held in the Czech Republic at the end of the month.
The selection process took into account the results of the recent National Championships, past results and training from within the British Squad.
In the main PF1 footlaunch solo class, the maximum Team size is seven, including one specific female place.
The top 3 places from the Nationals received an automatic entry:Â Michel Carnet, Pascal Campbell-Jones and Tom Keene.
Close behind in fourth place, Laura Turner qualified regardless of the specific female place.
Dean Eldridge, Andrew McMahon and Neil Slinger have been selected for the remaining place with reserve pilots are Barney Townsend and Ric Womersley.
In the PL1 Trike solo class, Andrew Shepherd will be the only pilot to represent the UK.
Comps panel chairman, Andy Phillips said “Congratulations to all of the pilots. This is the result of a great deal of hard work, both as individuals and with the Squad. Best of luck to the team in the Czech Republic.”
