Seawind 2010 paramotor
Chinese paramotor company Seawind have released their new 2010 paramotor.
It uses Polini’s Thor 100 engine and a Helix 3-blade 120 or 125 cm propeller, and is fitted to the company’s latest anodised aluminium frame and harness, with new swinging arms and a simple mechanism to change from high to low hangpoints. The frame is much lighter than previous models, and could also be used with other motors (Ros, Top 80, M25 etc).
The new paramotor has Seawind’s new Step Release Rescue system. This uses special fabric and a reinforced configuration to withstand opening from freefall speeds. The company cite as an example of where this could be useful, a pilot flying into a storm could cut away from his paraglider, free fall from the clouds and then open his reserve once out of harm’s way.
