A RUBBISH FLIGHT TO CHINA

This was the Sun newspaper’s description of the proposed journey a team of Brits will be making this summer, when they drive a truck powered by bio-fuel all the way from Croyden Airport in the UK, to China.

Andy Pag and John Grimshaw are taking along their paramotors, which they will also be powering with the fuel made from landfill waste, to fly and film with to document their journey. In a quest to make the minimum of environmental impact, they will also be carrying solar panels, fuel-saving tyres and a composting toilet.

The route through Europe hasn’t been finalised yet as the team would like to visit any sponsors’ factories or shops en-route, but they will likely head through France and Italy, catch a ferry to Greece, then on through Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Mongolia. They would like to contact paramotor clubs in these countries, so that they can fly with as many people as possible along the way.
