Gauteng Mini Comp 2008
Saturday 19th April was the start of the first Gauteng mini competition for PPG and PPT pilots at Flying Unlimited’s airfield, South Africa.
Designed to iron out mistakes being made by competitors in order to prepare them for their main competition events, seven competitors took part in 7 tasks over the weekend. Tasks concentrated on one discipline at a time, and skills covered were navigation, spot landing, fuel economy, Japanese slalom and declared time on a set route.
The event was a success, and Flying Unlimited would particularly like to thank Allen Kennedy, who volunteered to be meet director rather than competitng. Flying Unlimited’s Tony Gibson came first overall.
